UJIA-UK and Tel-Hai Mark the History of Tel-Hai in Stone

28/06/2012

A rough and beautiful natural stone now marks the site of the two refurbished historical buildings that house the Support Center for Students with Learning Disabilities at Tel-Hai College. The stone was installed on the grounds of the Center in mid-June. The Hebrew and English text on the stone, combining engraving and a printed tile, tells the story of Upper Tel-Hai, home to young pioneers who worked the land in the 1920's and 30's, and now the source of pioneering methods for the advancement of students with learning disabilities – thus the site continues to fulfill an idealistic Israeli vision.

The stone marker also gives thanks to Tel-Hai's dear partners on the renovation and preservation project, the Sir Jack Lyons Charitable Trust and UJIA UK.
