When asked "Why Tel-Hai?” students often cite the College's inclusive and personalized approach to education. Tel Hai has a highly diverse student body, drawing from Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and Bedouin communities, and as an institution, striving to be a model of a multicultural campus, embraces cultural tolerance and pluralism. The campus is a hub that attracts students from all over the country, with 80% of its students coming from regions outside the Upper Galilee.

The College takes the unique needs of each and every one of its students seriously. It runs several professional support services to aid students with special needs, such as the Center for Students with Learning Disabilities, which is the first and the only one of its kind in the country and a leader in developing strategies and technologies to overcome a wide variety of learning disabilities. It also runs specialized centers to ease the adaptation of minority students, such as the Center for Peace and Democracy, which helps Arab students cope with the often difficult adjustment to studying in a predominantly Jewish environment.
